Roslyn Urban Forest – Summer Paid Internship
Organization: Forterra North West
Placement: Roslyn, WA
Timeline: ASAP- September 15th  2014 (4 days per week – Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun) Pay Rate: $10/hour Position Description:
The perfect person for this position will have a combination of interests ranging from education and outreach to stewardship coupled with a deep and abiding love of the outdoors. An educational or experiential background in nature/science/habitat/environment is a bonus. Applicants must provide their own transportation and housing.

Specific elements of the position include:
• Hosting an interpretive station in downtown Roslyn WA • Programming activities at the new Roslyn Urban Park (finding musical acts and movies,
etc)
• Regularly scheduled walks/hikes up into the Roslyn Urban Forest for tourists • Trail cleanup duties • Promoting of Roslyn throughout the summer • Partnering on emerging projects with Forterra

Development & Fundraising Intern (unpaid) Target Start Date: July 7, 2014 Target End Date September 30, 2014 Hours per Week: 10-20 Sponsoring Department: Development Position Summary:

This intern will assist members of the Development department with a variety of tasks, including:
• Generating and sending gift acknowledgement letters and benefits to donors • Donor troubleshooting and follow-up • Data entry and updates in Raisers Edge database including:
• Event support: may include data entry, creating nametags, in-kind support gathering, set up, tear down, gift acknowledgement • Prospect research using a variety of online & database tools • Assist in copy editing and writing of some donor communications, minor proposals, appeals, or reports • Hands-on tasks such as framing artist prints that we give to donors and sponsors, special mailings and invitations to top donors • Other short-term projects and administrative tasks as assigned
