Within the policy guidance of the Conservation Commission and administrative guidance of the Commission’s Executive Director, serves as the coordinator for the Washington State’s Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP), oversees the habitat and project monitoring design, and knowledge of the Conservation Practice Data System (CPDS).
The Coordinator, Habitat & Monitoring position has lead responsibility for the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program coordination, operations, monitoring effectiveness, planning and reporting. The position also coordinates with other staff on the effectiveness and usability of the agency-wide Conservation Practice Data System (CPDS) in ensuring the operations, coordination, and training, monitoring effectiveness, planning and reporting are done on a periodic basis. The position also has lead in interagency progress reporting activities; technical advice to the Executive Director and staff; input on technical practice standards from WSCC to other agencies.
The Coordinator is responsible for managing the budget and allocation of funding to ensure site success, and reporting of these financial needs to agency staff, commissioners, and other parties to advance the program.
