Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Graduate School of Education (25%)
- Support the Green Team and HGSE Community
- Foster community-wide (faculty, staff, and students) participation in sustainable events and initiatives.
- Organize HGSE Green Team.
- Organize and conduct monthly meetings and follow-up with action items and notes.
- Lead HGSE community through the Green Office Program with focus on increasing participation.
- Help create/maintain: posters, handouts, displays, email campaigns, web content, utility usage information, campaign background information, event and tabling food/supplies.
- Work with Operations and Green Team to implement new projects and initiatives, seeking opportunities in the community to grow the program.
- Align HGSE’s program with long term school wide sustainability goals.
- Develop and track metrics to demonstrate project impacts and document program activities.
- Track progress and implement sustainability plan goals and standards in university-wide Sustainability Plan
- Engage the Student Community
- Partner with Office of Student Affairs to promote sustainability to students.
- Plan, execute, and market events and programs.
- Track student involvement and impacts.
- Undertake responsibilities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Related BA/BS required.
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience

- Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of environmental issues
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent communication and outreach skills.
- High degree of flexibility, adaptability and general ability to respond to emerging opportunities and barriers in a constantly changing environment.
- Must be creative, enthusiastic, and entrepreneurial with a high level of energy and initiative.
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
