About Wildlands CPR:
Wildlands CPR revives and protects wild places by promoting watershed restoration that improves fish and wildlife habitat, provides clean water and enhances rural economies. We focus on the ecological effects of roads and off-road vehicles, with an emphasis on watershed restoration through road reclamation. We are a national organization, based in Missoula, MT, with a primary emphasis on Forest Service transportation and restoration policy. We work in collaboration with other conservationists, agency land managers, scientists, heavy equipment operators and a diversity of other allies to find effective solutions to difficult land management problems. Since 1994 we have served as a clearinghouse of scientific and policy information for activists, organizations, and public land managers.

The WA/OR Field Coordinator has three primary responsibilities: leading the Washington Watershed Restoration Initiative (WWRI); engaging directly with the Forest Service on transportation and watershed issues in the Pacific Northwest Region; and building increased broad-based support for the Legacy Roads and Trails Remediation Program and associated watershed restoration efforts.

The WA/OR Field Coordinator’

s work will be integrated with a national campaign, providing significant opportunities to leverage WA/OR issues and successes on the ground to achieve broad-reaching goals.
The WA/OR Field Coordinator reports to the Executive Director and is a member of our west-wide rightsizing campaign team. The WA/OR Field Coordinator will also work closely with our Eugene, OR based Staff Attorney/Legal Liaison.

This individual should possess excellent written and verbal skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a keen sense of public land use issues. The person must be able to work in coalition with other conservation groups, diverse allies and state/federal agencies.
