Lincoln Options is an alternative elementary school within the Olympia School District. Lincoln is a community committed to learning, kindness, and celebration. We are located near the WA State Capitol Campuses and downtown Olympia, 1 block from the 12, 13 and 68 bus lines.

This position includes classroom support; tutoring students one-on-one and in small groups: mostly in reading, writing, and math; assisting staff around the school and in the office; occasionally leading an after-school Early Release activity; and playing games at recess!

Ability and desire to work with K-5 elementary school students. Ability to follow through on assignments and duties. Ability to help supervise students in a positive manner. Commitment to serving students from diverse backgrounds. Reliable attendance.

YOU MUST HAVE WORK STUDY FUNDS TO APPLY OR BE WILLING TO USE HOURS AS COMPENSATION FOR AN ACADEMIC INTERNSHIP.

Work study students will learn about K-5 Education based in childhood development; Teaching the whole child; Community buiding; and Experiential learning.You will work in collaboration with professional educators, as well as family and community volunteers to provide positive learning opportuniies for Lincoln students.
