POSITION: GIS TECHNICIAN
PROFILE OF COMPANY: Gray & Osborne has provided professional engineering services to public agencies throughout Washington State since 1935. We specialize in the planning, design, and construction management of water, sewer, transportation, and utility systems. The opening is in our Seattle office located at 701 Dexter Avenue N., Suite 200. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The candidate will have either a BS degree in GIS or related field or 1 to 3 years of experience as a GIS technician conducting spatial analysis, data conversion, and the production of publication quality maps with ESRI ArcGIS software. This position requires excellent written, verbal, and problem solving skills and ability to interact successfully with clients and staff from multiple technical disciplines. The candidate will be required to produce work products efficiently and with a high level of quality frequently under time constraints. The candidate must have a thorough knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software, GIS fundamentals, and databases, with demonstrated proficiency in their use and application. The candidate must be able to perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and/or database development tasks for efficient quantitative analysis. Attention to detail and the ability to perform data entry with a high degree of accuracy is a requirement. Some experience with AutoCAD and IT administration is a plus.
