SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
This position has an end date on or before June 30, 2012. This is an at-will position serving at the pleasure of the Alliance for a
Healthy South Sound and subject to Thurston County employee policies. The Community Program Manager is responsible for
staffing and supporting the Executive Committee of the Alliance and for overall support of the Alliance as a whole.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: development and preparation of meetings, products, reports, and administration;
working with the Committee in developing annual workplans, meeting agendas, events, policies, and public participation;
strategic and operational planning of the organization and for managing the annual budget, grants and workplans; tracking and
reporting of progress towards performance measures; negotiating and securing continued staff support services for the Alliance
and ensuring that accountability measures and progress indicators on work plan implementation are met. Works closely with
federal, state, tribal, and local governments, non-governmental entities, private sector entities, and other stakeholders on a
variety of science, natural resource, and sustainability issues of concern in the South Puget Sound. Identifies and
communicates detailed project and program needs to address science, natural resource, and sustainability issues. Pursues
funding and resources, and assists stakeholders in pursuing resources necessary to implement annual and long range work
plans. Assists with the development of long range and annual workplans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress
