CMER Geologist

This position provides expertise in mass wasting, slope stability, surface erosion, hydrology, experimental design and quantitative research methods to support research conducted by the Cooperative Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Committee (CMER) for the Washington State Forest Practices Adaptive Management Program. The incumbent will work collaboratively with project teams under guidance of CMER and its scientific advisory groups to: 1) design and implement research and monitoring projects; 2) provide expertise in slope stability, surface erosion, sediment transport, and hydrologic processes; 3) provide technical support in experimental design and quantitative research methods (e.g. statistical analysis, data management/manipulation, modeling, GIS); and 4) develop project implementation plans, budgets and schedules.
