From Imagine Olympia:
Please join us for the next focus meetings in January, February and March to discuss environmental stewardship and neighborhood planning; see below for details. Visit www.imagineolympia.
Environmental Stewardship Focus Meetings
Olympia may largely be recognized as a “green” community, and many of the comments received in the first phase of the Imagine Olympia process recognize that. However, overwhelmingly expressed was a desire for continued innovation, protection, restoration, and education. Comments touched on increasing recycling, protecting the urban forest, reducing greenhouse gases, sea-level rise, improving water quality, and more.
Join us for an opportunity to take a special look at environmental stewardship while updating Olympia’s Comprehensive Plan, and engage in discussion and decision-making that will shape Olympia’s growth over the next 20 years. The Olympia Planning Commission will be hosting two environmental stewardship focus meetings. Each meeting will be different, with the second meeting building on the discussions and feedback received from the first. You don’t need to be present at both meetings, but we do encourage it.
