Spills Publication and Web Coordinator (Communications Consultant 3) – Washington State Department of Ecology

Salary range: $47,568.00 – $62,460.00 Annually

The Spill Prevention, Preparedness, and Response program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Spills Publication and Web Coordinator (Communications Consultant 3) position. This position is located in our Headquarters Building in Lacey, WA.

The Spills Publication and Web Coordinator position ensures that the Spills Program’s strategic communications focus on prevention and preparedness for oil spills to Washington waters and land, as well as effective and aggressive responses to oil and hazardous substance spills whenever they occur. The duties also ensure that all program communication activities meet program expectations and agency standards. This position is responsible for promoting oil spill prevention, preparedness and response by providing public information and other messaging for the regulated and non-regulated community, stakeholders and other interested parties. In addition this position will assist the Program’s Communication Manager for interaction with media relations and events.

We are looking for applicants who possess excellent written and verbal communications skills to reach a diverse audience, as well as experience in web design and publication.
