Pollution Prevention Technician Job No. PW-11-ENG-008

This is a limited-duration fulltime position funded through June 2013 through an interagency agreement with the Washington Department of Ecology. This position will provide technical field support to small business owners with voluntary efforts to identify, control, reduce, or eliminate pollutant sources and stormwater runoff by offering technical assistance and information on best practices, and alternative management options such as low impact development. Employees in this classification are responsible for identifying and coordinating site visits, preparing site visit reports and monthly reporting according to Ecology guidelines. Responsibilities also include developing and implementing business outreach programs to encourage stormwater best management practices (BMPs).
