SALARY RANGE: Range 43 = $15.91 – $20.77 per hour
TYPE OF POSITION: Project, federally funded half time position
(Project is one year duration)

POSITION PROFILE:
Responsible for assisting the project leader (DNR Policy Director), by providing expertise and project support to the Watershed Services Market Demonstration Project. The position will serve as technical and administrative coordinator for the project leader and liaison with staff of partner organizations. This project includes a wide range of external partners and stakeholders. This is an executive level priority project for the Commissioner of Public Lands.
Duties will include:
Developing and organizing technical project/planning materials, reports, and documents;
Assisting in the completion of project work products;
Assisting with grant administration;
Researching and analyzing technical information;
Developing and maintaining a project website and online resources;
Communicating with project partners and organizing workgroup meetings; Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving issues in concert with project partners;
Assisting with overall project management and deadlines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental planning, public administration or closely related field;
 Professional level experience with legislative, public agency, or NGO policy/administration;
 Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities of a diverse group of stakeholders;
 Demonstrated ability to make effective oral presentations to internal and external audiences;
 Demonstrated ability to facilitate problem solving in a team setting;
 Demonstrated clear writing skills and ability to prepare clear and concise written reports.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
 Work experience developing short and long term goals and plans;
 Work experience managing a natural resource project
 Work experience with natural resource policy development.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
 Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
 This position is represented by the WPEA. Once appointed to this position the incumbent will be required to pay union dues or other representation fee within the first 30 days of employment
