Position is responsible for input and attribution of spatial data using GIS software. Position includes creation and management of geodatabases and production of map products. Incumbent will edit and create various coverage layers, including shapefiles and datasets, and should be able to use and process satellite imagery and raster data, such as LiDAR. Applicants must have completed a college or technical degree program in GIS, Geography, Computer Science or related field. Successful applicants will demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and value rigorous scientific methods. Familiarity with a wide range physical and biological data types and their use in geodatabases is desirable. Must be proficient in Arc versions 9.2 and 10.
