See Below The Green Building Data Summer Associate is a short-term temporary position that will handle the acquisition, management, and analysis of green building data, including information on the location and attributes of green building projects and associated rating systems around the world. Work products will primarily include industry analysis and database work that may result in insights upon which to base technical white papers.
Specific Responsibilities Include
- Analyze aspects of green building practice relevant to business and financial performance, such as operating cost, occupant satisfaction, and risk management;
- Develop and analyze multivariate performance indicators and metrics for buildings and portfolios;
- Prepare and present technical reports and PowerPoint presentations to internal audiences summarizing work products and findings;
- Contribute to an important fast‐paced project with a diverse, interdisciplinary team.
Education & Training Requirements
Required
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in real estate finance, real estate development or MBA program with a real estate concentration
- Coursework and/or practical experience with information management and analytics
- Familiarity/interest in building science and sustainability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and familiarity with Access
Preferred
- Interest in applications of real estate market data
- Demonstrated experience with quantitative analysis and visualization of structured data
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel, statistical modeling and advanced statistical software applications
- Superior interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with green building practices and rating programs
- Accreditation as LEED Green Associate or LEED Accredited Professional

- Conducting scientific and/or market research, and
- Strong writing, communications, and organization skills
- Demonstrated success working independently, prioritizing tasks, and completing work on schedule
- Enthusiasm for data and green building research
