This year our theme is Environmental Stewardship: Tribal Roles in Environmental Protection. 

Over the past few years, NTEC has significantly raised its visibility on the national and international levels. Our work on climate change resulted in participation in international meetings, and we want to continue to effect the real changes in this arena with regard to policy and practices that we know are necessary to the protection of our tribal and global environments. Our agenda for this year’s annual conference includes topics like the protection of water resources, recycling, environmental justice, energy regulatory issues, sacred site protection, and climate change. This year we have also added an environmental youth initiative to our agenda.
