In a variety of ways, museums and memorials provided special recognition that their visitors included school groups.

Museums and Memorials advertise special entry times for schools and special rates as well: The photos about access come from the Seoul National Museum and Korean War component, the “Unification Observatory,” one place ROK school groups visit to learn about relations with North Korea.

They offer small guide books, with information and quiz questions, directed at particular age groups. The featured materials were collected at the National Air and Space Musuem in Washington DC,

the Edo Tokyo History Museum

Seodaemun Prison

and the National Cemetery in Seoul.

In the US, many museums have prepared extensive educational websites both for planning visits and to enable those who cannot get to Washington DC or New York to do a virtual visit of the museum:

National Air and Space Museum on the Mall and at Dulles Airport

The American History Museum which has two access points, for teachers and for kids.

Arlington National Cemetery offers a historical information page.

The World War II memorial in Washington also has a teachers guide, published originally so as to encourage schools to participate in raising funds for the memorial itself.
