Shrimp Egg Foo Young; Tabasco added to Sriracha; Fried Cod

The Shrimp Egg foo Young was strong and complex. The egg really balanced the shrimp and was complimented by the additional spices. It wasn’t watered down like other dishes I have tried in American Chinese food.

Tabasco is added to almost everything. I feel my nose clear and I get a better flavour out of the dishes as a result.

The Fried Cod has a subtle saltiness to it, but an overall strong umami. There was a strong crushed followed by a soft fish. Which made for two very ends of the spectrum clashing to make both a satisfying sound and flavour.

These two dishes were shared between my grandparents and I. Whenever we eat out, we do not order individual dishes for ourselves. We order for everyone and never bind someone to what they ordered. It really makes a meal more of a shared experience than if otherwise.
