This is not a testament to nor an argument from nature, neither is it an entreaty for behavioral shift. Instead, it is merely a series of observations about a shifting world, and the place of myself and others within it.
One of the primal laws on which our universe operates is change. We are no strangers to it, consciously and unconsciously altering our bodies, minds, and surroundings to our favor. Change is what enables us to adapt, and become greater.
This vast power with which we’ve been endowed to both acknowledge and manipulate change makes us stewards. In a changing world and more imminently, a changing climate, how will we as the dominant species change our physical impact to reflect the fast-approaching future?
My desire is to learn about the variety of ways that humans interact with and conceptualize change, in order help myself and others become aware of their nature and the way that nature is reflected around them. I believe deeply that this will lead us to make respectful, fully informed decisions and conscious actions during our fleeting yet nonetheless impactful time in this mutual interaction with our planet.
