5/26:   Due before the end of class,  June 2:
              -Work on TTT,  Mastermind, 8 puzzle
                     -show me Masterming and improvements in TTT during class
                    -prepare to demonstrate the 8 puzzle on June 2 in class with your group
            – Prepare to pass or improve your competencies.  Make arrangements with me for exams
            -Prepare for the content exam (class and book) on June 2
            -Do Make-up for missed assignments.  See me with your plan for make-ups.

5/24   Due before class on May 26:
               -Prepare a 1 ot 2 page paper on points to discuss in the final Kurzweil Seminar
                       Point to include:  Do you think there will be a singularity?  When?
                       Where do you think Kurzweil is correct?    Incorrect? 
                       List points where Kurzweil or his critics were wrong or overreaching
                       Include page numbers where you have supporting documentation for each point
                       Turn in on Thursday
                 -Work on 8 puzzle, Mastermind, and perhaps TTT

5/19    -Email me with a link to your Mastermind Program, stored on your webspace.
                   If you have a partner, describe the contributions of each partner in the email.

           -Explore the Knob and Switch simulator and Gate simulator on textbook website, Ch 14 and 16
          – Work on TTT:  Prepare to finish and submit on May 12
          – Think about Mastermind strategy
          – Research Cognition group presentation
          – Research individual presentation ideas

5/3  All the following must be done before class on May 5
        -Code the following:  Assume you have a filled array of test scores.   Write a function to print all the scores between the average and the high score, along with the highest score below the average score.  Use the average template.    Turn in a listing of your code in class
       -Code the solution to the following problem:  You have 4 numbers less than 100.   The second is 3 more than the first.  The third is equal to the first plus the second.  Three times the second number minus the third number equals the fourth number.  The sum of all 4 numbers is 82.  Find each number.  Use the exhaustion examples on Classes/5.3.  Turn in a listing of your code in class
        -Research brain function,  psychology and cognition.  Come up with a list of ideas for a team project
        – Practice your competencies for the test next time in class
        -Code TTT,   move 2 and 3.  Work on move 4
        – Read Kurzweil,  Chapter 7.  Response to Denton
        -Prepare for a Presentation and make a Forum entry if you have a topic

4/28  All the following must be done before class on May 3
              -Read carefully Reed, Chapters 17 and 15 on Arrays and Strings
              -Run the example programs for Chapter 15 and 17.  Experiment with code

              -Read Kurzweil, Chapter 6:  Locked in his Chinese Room   Reflect
              – Work on TTT,  finish move 2 and develop strategy for move 3 and 4

                       Use the initial Number Guess program as an example
            -Read Kurzweil, Chapter 3  Denton, PP 78-97
            -Start on simple Craps:  Generate questions
            -Find presentation ideas.  Post on Forum.  Prepare presentation

4/12  All the following must be done before class on April 14
             -Read Reed, Ch 13.   tweak example code on texbook website
            – Finish the Movie Program.  Skip the decision table.  Turn in listing before class
            – Read carefully Kurzweil Ch 2 pages 56-77. 
            – Make an entry and reply to 2 posts in the Kurzweil Ch 2 Forum
                            make sure you have your 3 posts in before 3pm Thurs
            – Practice reading code examples
            – Practice changing a base 10 number to a base 2 number.. and back
              -Research and prepare for one of your Presentations.  Check Forum

4/7  All the following must be done before class on April 12
           -Reed Reed, Chapter 11 and 12
           -run and tweak examples programs on book website, Ch 11
           -try the Ch 12 data simulator on the book website
           -Do the Reed, Ch 3 review questions, p58, #1-23.  Turn in Tues
           -Finish and post your Personal Website Resume to your webspace
           -email me with the link to this site, before 3pm on Apr 12
           -code the Change program.  Print a copy of the listing.  Turn in Apr 12
                     On your paper, sumarize your results in pen.. always works? bugs?  fix?
           -Research and prepare for one of your Presentations.  Check Forum

         -Write the answers to the Chapter 6 Review Questions, p116,  1-22
         -Work on the Change program template.  Come with questions April 7
         -Work on your Personal Website to the web.  Make sure you can upload files to the server
         -Practice the Read Code example program for variables.  Prepare for exam
        -Read the Kurzweil Ch1 Forum entries and reply to at least 2 of them before 3pm on Thursday
        -Look for your first technology presentation topic and articles.  Check Forum

3/31  All the items in the list below should be completed before class on April 5
         -Read Reed, Chapters 4 and 5 carefully
         -Run, tweak, and rerun the examples for Chapter 4 and 5 on the book website          
         -Run and tweak the form letter examples
         -Code the form letter program.  Print out the listing and 2 runs.  Turn in Tuesday
         -Check out the JavaScript help forum.   Post questions and answers
         -Make an entry into the What I currently believe forum before class April 5  Reply to posts
