I used to live jointly in Olympia Washington where I worked at The Evergreen State College and Bend Oregon (where my husband lives nearly fulltime). Check out our home in winter! I now live full time in Bend, and work from my home office.
After years of mostly putting “work first”, I decided about ten years ago to “get a life”, and have been working on that. My spare time in the summer hiking or golfing (we are accidental golfers thanks to recently acquiring property at Tetherow), and in the winter skiing both downhill at Mt. Bachelor and cross country wherever seems interesting
I now volunteer at Mt. Bachelor as a Ski Ambassador; among our duties are roaming the slopes helping lost or confused or injured skiers, or finding none, just roaming the slopes.
