Under the direction of the Hazardous Waste Facility Supervisor, this position participates in the handling of incoming hazardous waste loads at Metro’s Hazardous Waste Facilities and collection sites, including receiving, identifying, sorting and preparation for disposal of hazardous wastes from households and small businesses. Responds to emergencies and chemical releases in the Hazardous Waste Facility, transfer station and remote collection sites. Lead direction is received from a Hazardous Waste Specialist.
