Saturday, October 6th, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Woodland Creek Community Park

Bring your camera along and we will take you and your dog’s picture with Scoopy Doo, too!  There will also be arts and crafts for all ages, free goodies and you can learn about water quality in Woodland Creek and the Henderson Inlet watershed.

Biologists from Pacific Shellfish Institute will be on hand to talk about organisms in the water that are too small to see with the naked eye, yet have a huge impact on our economy and recreational opportunities.  With the help of our specialists, you can roll up your sleeves (or put on a lab coat) to test bacteria levels in Woodland Creek and perform a net tow and view freshwater plankton under a microscope.
