One of the many farmers markets scattered across the island of Cuba, supplying fresh, organically and locally-grown produce to supplement the basic ration to which all Cubans are entitled as one of their economic, civil and human rights.

Eco Cuba Network and Green Cities Fund invite you to participate in this educational Cuba tour for environmental justice activists, supporters, students and professors.  We will travel to Cuba during the week of Earth Day (April 22) 2015, to study Cuba’s unique social and environmental justice policies and practice. (A trip extension is being arranged for those who want to remain in Cuba to participate in May Day activities.)

Join us on this unique Cuba Travel Program and explore our potential to help each other achieve the equitable and sustainable societies we all deserve!

CO-COORDINATING ORGANIZATIONS:

Eco Cuba Network is a California-based association of environmentalists devoted to interchange between US citizens and Cubans involved in environmental protection and sustainable development.

Green Cities Fund is international human and environmental rights organization with a license to arrange educational “people to people” Cuba tours.

Robert Murphy, MPH, M.Div. and tour co-organizer, is a Unitarian Minister and award winning Environmental Justice worker, currently based in Massachusetts. As Bob says, In Cuba, the environmental justice revolution is now in progress… Many aspects of environmental justice that Cubans take for granted are still ‘big news’ in the United States, even for many progressives. Cuba’s experience challenges the wealthy nations to ‘think again’ about environmental justice and what it requires…Our delegation will be visiting Cuba to learn about this revolution.”
