There is one (1) opening for a non-permanent full-time Communications Consultant 3 (CC 3) within the Division of Health Systems Quality Assurance (HSQA), Office of the Assistant Secretary (OAS). Primary Duties The Department of Health protects and improves the health of people in Washington State. The division of HSQA is responsible for the oversight of Washington State’s health care delivery system which includes licensing and regulating over 380,000 health care professionals and 7,000 facilities. HSQA also works closely with communities and local health partners to build strong health systems and prevention programs across the state to help ensure communities have access to good health care and emergency medical services. This position reports to the Director of Policy and Communications in the Office of the Assistant Secretary to support the department’s mission by providing Web-related technical expertise for HSQA. Duties include: • Completes and coordinates Web postings. • Develops new Web pages. • Helps enforce and maintain the agency’s Web standards. • Communications support and consultation. Required Qualifications • A Bachelor’s degree or higher. OR • Four (4) or more years of web development experience WHICH INCLUDES strong knowledge of web development and production support; excellent overall communication, technical, problem solving, trouble shooting, and project management skills. AND • Two (2) or more years (full-time equivalency) of experience developing Web pages without the use of What You See Is What You Get page editors. • Demonstrated experience provideing consistent, high-quality reviews of written communications, without grammatical or spelling errors. Desired Qualifications • One (1) years (full-time equivalency) of experience using a content management system.
