This recruitment is for one Office Assistant 3 position at Millersylvania State Park located in Thurston County, Washington.

The work schedule is Tuesday – Saturday.

 Duties:
Under the supervision of the Area Manager this position supports the day-to-day operations of the Millersylvania Area by performing a variety of routine and complex clerical tasks. The Millersylvania Area includes two overnight parks (Millersylvania and Rainbow Falls), two day-use parks (Tolmie and Nisqually), 54 miles of rail to trail (Willapa Hills), and undeveloped property at Elbow Lake.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Process financial records and keep expenditure reports up to date and accurate for area: process payment documents; track area expenditures; maintain credit card and petty cash logs; train seasonal staff on handling, processing, and reconciling fee collection; maintain tracking log for Area Discover Pass receipt and distribution.
  • Function as administrative communication hub for the area: serve as primary point of contact during regular business hours; process and distribute incoming/outgoing mail; respond to inquiries; maintain knowledge of park rules, regulations, and policies; review written documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide routine clerical support functions to area: collect, compile, and report regular park data per agency policies, and as requested for special assignments; manage area records; maintain area inventories and supplies; maintain/update desk manuals and plans.
  • Serve as CAMIS Administrator for area and ensure systems are operable and seasonal employees are trained: maintain understanding of CAMIS system hardware and software; ensure efficiency of reservation system operation; troubleshoot CAMIS computer issues and serve as the contact with CAMIS technical support.
 Qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

High school graduation or equivalent, and two years of clerical experience.

And

A valid driver’s license.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of state government rules and regulations.

Knowledge of State Parks rules and regulations.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Professional.
