The Department of Fish and Wildlife is recruiting to fill one full time, permanent, Natural Resource Scientist Section Manager position located in the Game Division of the Wildlife Program. The duty station for this position is the Natural Resources Building, Olympia, Washington.

This incumbent oversees the Wildlife Program Game Division’s Small Game section, including statewide management of small game (e.g., upland game birds and furbearers) and private lands hunting access issues. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating research, harvest, and survey data to inform recommendations related to small game, furbearer and upland game bird management as well as issues related to private lands hunting access. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for budget management, making rule or policy recommendations regarding hunting and hunter access issues, and supervision of the Western Washington Pheasant Program.
