You’re invited to the 3rd-annual Downtown to Defiance from City of Tacoma and Metro Parks Tacoma
WHEN: September 13, 9 AM- 1PM
WHO: You and everyone you know!
WHAT: A festive, family-friendly event celebrating Tacoma, mobility, and community. Walk, run, roll, and bike along nearly 7 miles of open streets (no cars). Lots of fun activities like lawn croquet, food trucks, kayaking, and an obstacle course in parks along the way.
WHERE: The beautiful Tacoma waterfront, from downtown at S. 21st St. at the Foss Esplanade, along Dock Street, Schuster Parkway, and Ruston Way to the end of the Waterwalk near Point Defiance Park. Start anywhere along the course and go as far as you like.
HOW MUCH: No cost to participate.
WHAT ELSE:
- We’re welcoming everyone. The first 500 people to pre-register at DowntowntoDefiance.com will be entered to win a $100 gift card to Kayakers Go Coastal, Playback Sports, or South Sound Running.
- We need volunteers. Give back to your community by staffing a recycling station or helping with other event logistics.
