The Nisqually Tribe is hosting the Tribal Canoe Journey at the end of July and into August 2016, after the 100+ canoes arrive in Olympia from all along the West Coast on July 30. There will be a Medicine Creek Treaty ceremony on July 31. Each canoe family will present their dances and songs during Protocol at the Nisqually Reservation on August 1-6.

The Paddle to Nisqually is seeking volunteers  to help in many tasks, including the “Green Team” to recycle the waste from the event, which will draw as many as 15,000 people.
