The deadline for applications for an abundance of Evergreen scholarships is February 1st. The Office of Alumni Programs and the Writing Center have partnered with members of the Foundation Board of Governors and generous Faculty Emeriti to offer students workshops and individual appointments to review applications.  We also have prepared the attached Scholarship Tips, combining financial literacy information with application writing advice.

Please help us spread the word about the following workshops:

The Evergreen Writing Center (www.evergreen.edu/writingcenter/<http://www.evergreen.edu/writingcenter/>) offers resources to assist students with the application and letter of application writing at any stage. If a student is not available at the times above, we encourage an individual appointment with a Writing Center tutor.

The Writing Center in Olympia is located in LIB 2304. Hours: Mon.-Thurs, 11-8; Fri. & Sun, 12-5.

The Writing Center in Tacoma is located in Room 124. Hours: Mon.-Thurs. 9-10 and 2-6 (tentative) beginning Monday, January 11th.

Students may call 360-867-6420 to make an appointment for either location or drop by during open hours.

Since it would not occur to a number of our students that they are eligible to apply, your encouragement may be the difference in whether a student graduates from Evergreen with greater financial security.

Thanks for your support, and please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Most Respectfully,

Sandra L. Yannone, Ph.D.
