PARKS AND RECREATION SPECIALIST II – FARADY PLANT
Portland General Electric, Estacada, Oregon
Closes: Monday, December 26, 2016

Job Number: R16-668

PGE is best known for bringing electricity to homes and businesses. In the process of creating hydropower facilities to generate electricity, we are also dedicated to preserving and sharing the beauty of these natural areas with everyone.

As part of the federal licensing agreement for our dams, PGE maintains recreation facilities at each site. Our parks help protect natural areas, develop the economy by attracting tourism, and provide recreation and learning opportunities for families in local communities.

In this position, you’ll coordinate the production and delivery of Safety, Compliance and Public Use information at PGE sponsored recreation and public use sites via signage, print and electronic media. A key responsibility will be the oversight of the Interpretation and Education Plans required in the federal licenses issued for the operation of our hydroelectric plants in western and central Oregon. These plans include the development of products and programs, and contain an annual budget for implementation.

Other responsibilities include the coordination of special use and public access of company lands for recreation, education and community events, the collection and reporting of recreational use data, and general support of the Parks and Recreation Services Team Mission.
