The Opportunity:

WSDOT’s Environmental Office has a robust new opportunity for an exceptional biologist who has a passion for environmental issues. This biologist will be a lead subject matter expert and will planning and conducting advanced studies for biological and aquatic issues within the Northwest Region. In this role you will be able to apply your current environmental policy and biology experience to develop both the breadth and depth of your professional knowledge through hands on collaboration with WSDOT environmental staff, Federal, State, and Local agencies, Tribal governments, and the public.  A partial list of your involvement will include deliverables for:

*   The Clean Water Act
*   The National Environmental Policy Act
*   The Endangered Species Act
*   The Migratory Bird Treaty Act
*   The Marine Mammal Protection Act
*   The Washington State Hydraulic Code
*   The State Environmental Policy Act
*   The Shoreline Management Act
*   Critical Areas Regulations
