The Regulatory Branch is responsible for making permit decisions for work in Waters of the United States, including rivers, streams and wetlands. Project Managers work under the authorities of the Clean Water Act and Rivers and Harbors Act.  Project Managers (PMs) maintain a robust workload of permit processing, compliance, and enforcement actions.  The district covers the geographic area of the state of Washington.  Seattle District offers PMs plenty of hands-on experience implanting the Endangered Species Act and National Historic Preservation Act, as we as coordinating with a variety of Indian tribes upholding our tribal trust responsibilities.  The district office is based in a new LEED certified building located a short distance from downtown Seattle.
