The College of the Environment’s Levin Lab is looking for a Temporary, Full-Time Research Technologist 2 who will function as a research technologist in a project that is investigating impacts of storm water on ecosystem structure and function. This is a year long appointment.

In general, the incumbent will support the scientific research of our team by performing a variety of complex investigative procedures, modifying routine procedures and interpreting results.  The incumbent will work independently and perform scientific investigative procedures requiring application of professional judgment. The incumbent will, with general supervision, perform the following tasks:

Conduct web and library searches to assist in developing novel methodology.
Enter data into spreadsheets, and maintain databases.
Assist in field operations including the collection of soil and plant samples and assessment of ambient noise levels.
Assist in expert elicitation regarding stormwater impacts of key informants in the Puget Sound region.
Create mapping products using GIS.
Perform statistical analyses of data.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of science plus one year of research experience. Professional level experience may be substituted, year-for-year, for the formal academic degree.
