Assist teachers in a progressive K-5th grade program, attend meetings, develop a curriculum, and write a reflection paper.

Interns will work with students on reading, writing and math skills and on the more eclectic afternoon programs that include art, science and other studies that reflect individual interests of the children. Will also be assisting during lunch and recess.

These are unpaid internships and are available to anyone with interest and experience working with young children, who are regularly available some hours within the school day (9am-3pm, Monday-Friday). Must be reliable, conscientious, and want to have fun!

This will provide an opportunity to work with and observe a progressive and creative educational setting using a child-based, teacher-directed curriculum in a small, multi-age school. In addition to general academics and enhanced arts, focus is also directed toward promoting environmental awareness and respectful relationships. You will learn conflict resolution theories and time management. This position would benefit students studying education (and alternative methods of education), recreation, and environmental studies.
