Center for Natural Lands Management (CNLM) is recruiting for an ecological restoration technician position that focuses primarily on prescribed fire in Puget Sound. We are seeking candidates that are interested in ecological conservation and have experience and/or education in natural resources, ecology, agriculture or other related fields and especially if you have experience with prescribed fire. CNLM’s Puget Sound Program is part of a long-term collaborative conservation partnership that works closely with government agencies, universities, non-profits and private partners from Willamette Valley to San Juan Islands. In this region, we focus primarily on conservation of prairie and oak habitat and the species that depend on them.

This position will primarily focus on prescribed fire to improve native habitat, but may also include other restoration activities, such as invasive species management and native plant establishment. See position description at our recruitment page linked below.

Work will begin mid-June (with some flexibility), with expectation to continue through the end of August and possibly September and October depending on need and funding.

Qualification under NWCG as a Type 2 Firefighter is highly desirable. Must be legally able to drive a car and work in hot, dry conditions.
