Kayla Mahnke – Student Activities Office
The role of the Chair is to facilitate all meetings, award hearings, and Clean Energy Committee-led projects.

The main responsibilities of the Chair are to:
• Facilitate all meetings and award hearings, ensuring that all committee members are able to be heard
• Act as a guide for the direction of the Committee
• Delegate committee tasks to appropriate committee members
• Recruit, advise, and provide feedback for award applicants
• Promote the Clean Energy Committee on campus
• Make sure the committee’s decisions align with our mission and values
��� Remain impartial during award hearings and recuse yourself when impartiality cannot be maintained
• Conducts hiring process and assists in the training of all new members
• Schedules meeting dates, times and locations
• Serves as a liaison to the campus community
• Point of contact for the Clean Energy Committee as well as the Clean Energy Education, Research, and Action initiative
• Advise faculty participants in the Clean Energy Education, Research, and Action initiative
• Hold regular office hours (Governance hours Mondays 3-5PM and Wednesday 1-5PM are best)
• Participate in ongoing Leadership Development opportunities offered by Student Activities

• Ability to attend Student Governance Retreat November 2-4th, 2017. Transportation, lodging, and meals provided.
