2018 Nisqually Land Trust Nature Walk Program

Dates: June – October 2018; generally Saturday & Sunday mornings but can be scheduled during the week as well.

About:

As part of our guided nature walk program, we invite you to help us to create some exciting site tours by leading a nature walk on some of our most scenic protected areas. Volunteer Naturalists will share their natural history knowledge of the region (forestry talks, wildflower walks, historical tour, etc.) with the community and act as a Land Trust ambassador by providing a brief history of the site. *If you have an idea for a great naturalist tour that you want to provide, let us know and we can plan with you one-on-one.

Responsibilities & Commitment:

  • dedicate 2-3 hours of your time per walk
  • volunteers will be provided a site-specific outline and orientation to help prepare for the walk

Provided by the Land Trust:

  • first aid kit
  • property maps

Nature Walks take place on land protected as wildlife habitat. We ask that you please leave your dog at home. Thank you!
