2018 Nisqually Land Trust Nature Walk Program
General Dates & Times: May – October 2017; Saturday & Sunday Mornings
Volunteer trail sweeps are an essential part of our guided nature walks program and help to create a safe and enjoyable way to get the community out on Land Trust protected areas. Volunteer sweeps help check participants in, keep the group together, support the walk lead, and act as a Land Trust ambassador by providing a brief Land Trust welcome.
Responsibilities & Commitment:
- set directional signs
- greet & sign in participants
- “sweep” /remain at the back of the group and ensure everyone completes the walk
- dedicate 2-3 hours of your time per walk
Provided by the Land Trust:
- information/orientation about the conservation property
- first aid kit
- property maps
Nature Walks take place on land protected as wildlife habitat. We ask that you please leave your dog at home. Thank you!
