As part of our continued success, Landau Associates is seeking an experienced Mid-Level Environmental Scientist/Biologist to support a variety of projects in our permitting and compliance group.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of SEPA threshold determinations and NEPA categorical exclusions including but not limited to:
    • Critical Area reports and Biological Evaluations/Assessments.
    • Wetland and waterway delineations and compensatory mitigation.
    • Section 404/Section 10, HPA, Shoreline Management Act, 401 WQ Cert, land use and local critical areas ordinance permitting.
  • Interacting and communicating with clients and staff at all levels.
  • Leading specific tasks within the context of larger multidisciplinary projects.

This career opportunity is available for the candidate who has:

  • 5+ years of direct experience in the areas noted above.
  • A biology or environmental sciences background.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Proactive approach to accomplishing tasks.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a collaborative project-team environment, interchangeably supporting co-workers and engaging co-workers’ support to meet the specific needs of a wide range of projects within the permitting and compliance group, and engaging with co-workers in multiple offices.
