The fate of Washington’s iconic orcas is linked to abundant salmon runs and free-flowing rivers. Sadly, many salmon runs have plummeted up-and-down the West Coast, and orcas are starving as they search for the few fish that remain. Join us for an inspiring evening of learning and taking action!

Patagonia Ballard is hosting Orcas Need Free-Flowing Rivers, an in-store event with Whale Scout and Defenders of Wildlife that will discuss how restoring rivers can save orcas from extinction.

Enjoy an engaging presentation by independent scientist Monika Wieland Shields of Orca Behavior Institute.

We’ll be joined by Florian Graner of Sealife Productions showing his film, Return of the King.

Date: Thursday, June 28th
Time: 7pm
Location: Patagonia Ballard, 5443 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle, WA 98107
