Sustainability Program Manager-Patriot Green Fund

The George Mason University, Sustainability Department is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person for a Sustainability Program Manager. The position supports the Office of Sustainability, and George Mason University in meeting the missions stated above, with special attention to managing and expanding the success of the Patriot Green Fund (PGF), an annual $100,000 fund dedicated to student sustainability research and improving the sustainability of infrastructure across Mason’s campuses. The program manager is also responsible for providing leadership and support in promoting green buildings and infrastructure on Mason’s campuses, sustainability reporting, fundraising, and integration with academic units.

Required Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have a bachelors’ degree in sustainability, or comparable amount of work experience in sustainability, and have good understanding (either through coursework or practical work experience, or both) of the range and diversity of sustainability topics in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Green Associate or Accredited Professional
  • Environmental Science and Policy, Public Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related field.

Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
