ICF is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated candidate to help clients promote their energy efficiency programs and communicate their energy and sustainability successes. Successful candidates will support stakeholder outreach to facilitate industry engagement, build program and brand integrity, develop outreach and communications materials through written and digital media, and assure efficient promotion of government public private partnerships. They will contribute to the implementation of high–profile partnership programs to drive energy efficiency in the commercial, residential, industrial, and/or energy-using product markets.

 

What you will be doing….

Coordinating with clients to develop national and regional strategies to influence the market and increase participation in energy and sustainability programs.

Developing case studies, press releases, blog articles, and social media content to promote the achievements of energy and sustainability programs and their participants.

Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders, which may include product manufacturers, commercial building owners and operators, industry associations, and utilities.

Developing and delivering training resources and presentations.

Contributing to the development and deployment of webinars, in-person events and peer exchanges for energy professionals to engage with one another and share proven strategies for overcoming barriers to energy efficiency.

Providing communications assistance to program participants.

Conducting research and analysis of energy efficiency and industry issues.

Serving as direct point of contact for one or more clients/project leads.

 

What you need to have….

Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/policy, marketing/communications, or related fields

6+ years relevant experience

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills (writing samples required)

Highly-developed interpersonal skills and self-motivation

Solid personal computer skills in Microsoft applications

Ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under strict deadlines

 

Preferred Skills/Experience….

Master’s degree in environmental science/policy, marketing/communications, or related fields

Experience providing outreach/marketing support for energy efficiency and sustainability programs, or working with vendors/service providers serving energy efficiency markets

Familiarity with the development/delivery of voluntary public-private partnership programs

Experience using social media as a tool for program outreach and education

Experience with communications programs like Adobe Creative Suite

Business development/proposal writing experience
