King County’s Noxious Weed Program is Hiring!

The Noxious Weed Control Specialist II opening is for one of eight Regional Noxious Weed Specialists with the King County Noxious Weed Control Program. The person hired will work with public and private landowners and county residents in a region of the county to achieve noxious weed control goals and priorities of King County and the Washington State Noxious Weed Law. The Education Specialist position will be assisting with our program’s work to increase the public’s awareness and knowledge about noxious weeds and increase engagement in noxious weed control and stewardship activities. The position’s primary goal is to deliver outreach, technical assistance and education services equitably to county residents. There will be an emphasis on reaching traditionally underserved communities in King County including people who speak languages other than English, people of color, tribal communities and low income residents.
