Long-term energy scenarios are a key tool that allow to assess the complexities of the energy system. However, their use for policy making is often met with concerns around the reliability to capture characteristics of the clean energy transition. IRENA’s Clean Energy Ministerial campaign on Long-term energy scenarios (CEM LTES) seeks to shed light on good practices for scenario use and improvement.
