The Opportunity:

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for environmental issues to join the Olympic Region Environmental Office located in Tumwater, WA. This position will be an integral part of ensuring that we improve environmental conditions with the protection of natural habitat and water quality at the forefront. The selected individual will be responsible for certifying that maintenance activities comply with environmental regulations, policies, permit provisions and best management practices. This position will stay abreast of changes in regulatory requirements and practices, and be able to convey them to maintenance, ensuring they understand them and have the expertise to adhere to them. The selected individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to plan, coordinate, and lead activities with a strong customer-focus.
