This crew is based out of Lake Stevens and serves with the Snohomish Conservation District providing habitat restoration to Snohomish County residences. The district works with landowners on a voluntary basis to provide resource management expertise. This crew focuses on habitat restoration and improvement as well as managing a native plant nursery. Members on this team will gain exceptional habitat restoration skills while making significant habitat improvements throughout Snohomish County. Tasks include: planting native plants, removing invasive species, herbicide usage, fence construction, nursery management, and rain garden construction. This crew is based out of the Snohomish County Native Plant Nursery in Lake Stevens and serves Monday-Thursday: 7:00am-5:30pm.

Must be *18-25 years old. Members ea rn a semi-monthly living allowance of $1,058 and an AmeriCorps Education Award of $6,095 after completing 11-month term (1700 hours). Formal and informal training is provided, and educational loan forbearance and insurance are available. Strong preference will be given to Washington state residents. *Age restrictions do not apply to Gulf War era II reservists, dependents, and veterans. Position start date: October 7, 2019.
