EVENT CANCELED

Eye on Nature is seeking volunteer naturalists. Eye on Nature is an environmental education program sponsored by Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, Nisqually River Education Project, Chehalis Basin Education Consortium, and Nisqually Reach Nature Center. We get great feedback from students and teachers about these trips!  We recruit volunteers to help keep group sizes small (4-6), enhancing our possibility of seeing wildlife, and decreasing the student to adult ratio.  Can you join us?

Volunteer Training, March 31st, 9am-2pm
Attendance is required for all new volunteers and encouraged for returning volunteers.
Learn all about the Eye On Nature program and how it is designed to provide positive, fun, meaningful, and memorable experiences for students.
After completing this training you will become familiar with Eye On Nature activities and have a chance to practice doing them yourself!
Bonus Plant & Bird ID Training , April 15th 11:30am-4:00pm
Attendance is optional.
This optional training is a chance to head out on the trails with Refuge Educators and Local Experts to spend an afternoon botanizing and birding, becoming familiar with the refuge,  with nothing else on the agenda.
