BACKGROUND & SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

The International Living Future Institute (ILFI), a dynamic and solutions-oriented non-profit, seeks an exceptional Outreach Manager to support the growth of Just and other ILFI programs. ILFI’s mission is to lead and support the transformation toward communities that are socially just, culturally rich and ecologically restorative. The successful candidate must exhibit a strong passion for the organization’s mission.

The Just Outreach Manager serves a key role in the organization responsible for advancing Just, ILFI’s leading social equity program. Manager’s role includes creating and implementing a strategic growth plan to increase the number of organizations registering for the program, public speaking and being the face of the program, as well as advising internal staff on social equity solutions for other ILFI programs. The successful candidate will be highly organized, a strategic thinker, a natural and inspirational leader, and be comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

ILFI offers a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented workplace that is mission driven. This job is full time, exempt, and requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate after hours meetings and travel as needed. ILFI has offices in Seattle, WA, and Pittsburgh, PA as well as additional remote staff across the country. This position will require frequent travel across the US and possibly beyond.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Just program.
  • Create and implement a strategic growth plan to scale adoption of the Just program in the US and abroad.
  • Reach out to new organizations and manage inbound leads to encourage them to participate in Just.
  • Facilitate key stakeholder engagement cohorts to bring Just and other ILFI programs to new markets.
  • Work directly with organizations to walk them through the Just label application process and assist them to overcome limitations and challenges.
  • Review Just label application materials, maintain the database of organizations on the Just website, draft and issue Just labels.
  • Deliver talks and presentations and author articles to increase awareness about the value of Just in addressing social justice issues.
  • Stay current on ILFI’s full suite of programs and be able to provide powerful, inspiring presentations.
  • Update the Just program, as needed, to meet and exceed evolving HR, CSR and Organizational Development policies and practices.
  • Develop tools and resources that will help prospective Just organizations submit applications in a timely manner.
  • Prepare reports on progress of Just adoption, maintain up-to-date database of organization contact information, and compile and analyze data to find trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or field complementary to job duties and/or mission of the organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience with sales or outreach in sustainability, CSR, or a related field.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CSR and DEI issues, trends, and programs.
  • Strong network and connections within the CSR and DEI communities.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, public speaking, social media, press relations).
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders and understand their needs.
  • The drive and energy to manage multiple accounts while looking for new opportunities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders representing different organizations, backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Computer skills, especially Mac OS, Salesforce, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel

Desired:

  • Living Future Accreditation. Candidates who are not already Living Future Accredited will be supported in achieving their LFA within one year.
  • Experience working with and representing diverse ethnic and cultural communities.
  • Experience working across virtual teams and with remote management.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign.
