The new Center for Sustainable Infrastructure is Housed with Evergreen’s MPA Program
Ryse Roth an Evergreen Alum and co-founder of Climate Solutions, has partnered with the college to act as Director of the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure.
This center will act as a research facility as well as a clearinghouse of ideas for best practices in developing better and more efficient infrastructure. Tribes, agencies, utilities and MPA graduate student researchers will all have the chance to be a part of this ground breaking movement towards innovative and sustainable development.
The center was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Pacific Northwest-based Bullitt Foundation, which supports sustainable development in the region, to help with the initial launch of the center.
Website is Under Construction
Happy New Year! For many of us, trying to improve in the New Year is a stable resolution. The Evergreen MPA website is holding to the same resolution. You may have noticed subtle changes here and there but be prepared for an overhaul in 2014. Most of the improvements are scheduled to go live by May.
Besides this blog, which contains pages on alumni, faculty, publications and Tribal news, we have also added a Community Corner/Project Forum for agencies and students to connect over projects. It is a great way for folks to nail down contracts, internships and capstone projects. http://evergreenmpaconnect.weebly.com/#/
Look for a 10 question survey to appear in mid- January. We want YOUR opinion and input on how our website can best serve your needs, as a student, prospective student, faculty member or alumni. If you have further advice or comments to share, feel free to reach us at hendrixl@evergreen.edu
Hello world!
The MPA program is building a new face. We are hard at work making the website more usable and relevant to MPA prospective & current students as well as to Alumni and faculty. We are excited to feature recent student publications, faculty writings and pertinent information to the program. Look for the Alumni Matters and Tribal Newsletter, available within the blog as well.
We appreciate any feedback and support as we transition the site to fit your needs. Please feel free to contact Laura Hendrix at hendrixl@evergreen.edu for comments or input.
