State Avenue

Many people use this road as a way to pass by the slightly thicker traffic on the opposite side of the block, and as a shorter route to their destination. From the sidewalk you can see the mouth of the bay and the children’s museum. Open sky and bathing birds are all that might greet you across the street. Crows, in between lookouts for food, may peer at you with intelligent eyes from atop the fence, then move on to a nearby rooftop. A place like many others and yet unique for it’s characteristics, this is the less welcoming side of the block. Although if you want to go to the Pilates Center, this is the route for you! A seemingly random assortment of items such as Food, Books, Fireplaces and Jacuzzis, and a workout with pilates can be gained from this aged block of Downtown Olympia.
